Shell Phones
Chunky-shell phones (such as conches and nautilus-like shells) don't have any unique abilities, but are well-loved as the classic type of shell phone and are considered fashionably retro!

A type of shelled slime that seems to be disguised as various different species of mollusk at first glance. Each individual has a unique telepathic signature that, when shared with another of their species, allows them to contact each other regardless of distance. This telepathic link as well as their ability to mimic the speech of other creatures make them a valuable form of communication for sippers and other playable races, and are very often kept as pets/companions for this reason.

Mini-shell phones (chitons, tusk shells, limpets, freshwater/land snails, etc) can levitate and keep themselves floating at a desired location, such as beside the ear (even if the user moves around, it stays in place beside their ear) this frees up the user's hands, they can be compared to blue-tooth headphones in this way.

Flip-shell phones (clams, oysters, etc) can open/close like a flip phone. Their specialty is a video chat/face-time like feature, which they project as a hologram from their pearl.
